FOR ALL YOUR ROOFING SUPPLIES
- Start Slow to Seat the Screw
Begin each hole at low drill speed so the bit won’t wander and the screw head seats cleanly into the metal. - Control Drill Speed to Protect Tips
Our premium self-drilling screws have hardened tips, but running your drill too fast still overheats and dulls them—keep drill speed moderate throughout. - Maintain Alignment and Let the Bit Do the Work
Hold the drill square to the surface with firm (not excessive) pressure. - Increase Speed Once Seated
After the threads bite, you can safely ramp up for a quick, clean drive-through of the sheet. - Ensure Proper Washer Seal
Stop driving as soon as the rubber washer is snug against the metal. Over-compressing deforms the washer and can compromise the watertight seal. - Inspect Your Work
After a few screws, double-check for uniform depth, intact washer seals, and no stripped heads; adjust technique if anything looks off.
