Koop Sheet Metal Gauge Conversion Chart

Gauge indicates the thickness of a sheet metal. As the gauge number increases, the material thickness decreases.  A gauge unit can represent varying thicknesses (a low or high end of a gauge) therefore not all gauges are identical.  The following gauge conversion chart indicates the actual thickness of each gauge sold at Koop Sheet Metal and does not apply to other roofing companies who might offer the thinnest metal (a low end) that is allowed within a specific gauge. It is very important to understand  “metal thicknesses”  in order to make an informed decision when making a purchase.
